Silver Ski Clinics for ages 50+
It's never too late to have more fun!

Designed for wiser, more experienced skiers ages 50 and older who are at a skill level of lower intermediate to advanced, and are interested in the new movement patterns used with shaped skis, and/or improving their skiing techniques.
Clinics are conducted by senior instructors. Participants will leave with new skills, new acquaintances and an appreciation of the mountain.

Our Silver Ski instructors:
Jim Pittman- Jim started his teaching career at Boreal Ridge in 1967 and received his PSIA certification in 1969. Having spent time at Soda Springs and then Alpine Meadows, Jim became the Assistant Ski School Director at Mt. Rose from 1971-1973. Jim returned to Mt. Rose in 2006 and has been part of the Senior Program ever since, getting his Level II Senior Accreditation in 2009.
Jim Taylor - Jim began teaching at Mt. Rose while skiing for University of Nevada Reno in the late sixties. He came back to skiing at Mt. Rose in the late nineties and became a PSIA Level 2 Alpine Instructor and a Children's Specialist Level 2. He also served as Falcons Learn to Fly Coach for three years. He believes skiing is the best sport for social activity and the enjoyment of the great outdoor mountain environment Mt. Rose has to offer.
Dick Edwards- Dick is starting his 14th season at Mt. Rose as a ski instructor in the Adult Ski School. Dick has worked as a regular instructor in the Mt. Rose Seniors program for the past 6 seasons. Additionally, Dick often instructs in the Rosebuds children’s ski program. Dick holds a national PSIA Level II Alpine certification and a PSIA-W Level II Seniors Specialist certification. Dick also taught for 28 years on the Reno-Sky Tavern Jr. Ski program as a ski instructor, and 10 years as an instructor trainer. Dick is a practicing attorney in Reno and a retired colonel in the US Army/Nevada Army National Guard. He also teaches legal courses at Morrison University in Reno.
Linda Good – Linda started her teaching career in the Aurach bei Kitzbuhel Ski School in 1965.· She spent 25 years at Mammoth Mountain as well as stints at Chateau Tongariro Ski School in New Zealand, Boreal/Soda Springs Ski School, Northstar at Tahoe Ski School, and the last 11 winters at Mt. Rose.· Linda helped develop and start the Women’s Ski Clinics last season at Mt. Rose and is a PSIA Level 3 Certified Alpine Instructor and a Level 2 PSIA Senior Specialist.
