Mt. Rose Hosts Saturday in the Park Rail Jam Nov. 21st

Reno, NV- Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe will be holding a Saturday in the Park Rail Jam on Nov. 21st from 1:00-2:00 pm. The Saturday in the Park Rail Jam is FREE (but you must have a Mt. Rose season pass or lift ticket to enter) and open to all ages and abilities. Participants will be judged on their tricks in a jam-style format for an hour. Prizes will be provided by Out of Bounds board shop. Here are the details:
What: Saturday in the Park Rail Jam
When: Saturday, Nov. 21st
Where: Ponderosa Park
Registration: 11:30 am-1:00 pm, held in the Ponderosa Park
Competition: 1:00-2:00 pm in the Ponderosa Park, awards to follow immediately afterwards
Snowboarders will compete with skiers and girls and boys will be in their own categories. The three ages groups are as follows: 11 & under, 12-15, 16 & older. Helmets are required and a parent or guardian must sign a liability release for those 17 years of age or younger.
Mt. Rose will be open Nov. 13th & 14th with the Flying Jenny lift in operation accessing the Show-Off run. We’re running our lights and offering extended hours skiing for Friday and Saturday only. Show-Off will have park features set up and will be open from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm. Ticket prices are $20 for 13 & older, $10 for ages 6-12 and 5 & under ski free. Purchase your lift tickets in Guest Services, located in the Mt. Rose Main Lodge. The Mt. Rose Main Lodge will be open with Timbers Bar offering snacks and drinks. Retail, Rentals, Ski School/Rosebuds and other Food & Beverage outlets will remain closed.
